How Pricing Works
Color starts at $70 and scales with coverage area and your dog’s patience level — a wiggly puppy’s tail takes longer than a seasoned show dog’s. Color pairs best with a fresh full groom or bath & brush so the dye bonds to clean coat. Light coats (think white poodles and doodles) show the most dramatic results.

Dog Hair Dying FAQs
Is dog hair dye safe?
Yes — we exclusively use dyes formulated for pets. Human hair dye is never safe for dogs (the developers and ammonia can burn skin and are toxic if licked). Pet-safe, non-toxic products plus a trained groomer applying them is the combination that keeps color fun and harmless.
How much does dog hair dying cost?
Creative color starts at $70 and increases with the area covered and how patient your dog needs us to be. Ear tips and a tail are the entry point; full-body creative work is quoted individually.
How long does the color last?
Typically 4–8 weeks depending on the color, your dog’s coat, and bathing frequency. Lighter coats hold color longest — white poodles and doodles show the most vivid results.
Which dogs are good candidates for creative color?
Dogs with light-colored coats show color best, and dogs should be comfortable standing for grooming. We’ll be honest if your dog’s coat or temperament makes a smaller accent (like a dyed tail) the better call.
